If You Can’t Name Why They Didn’t Book, You Can’t Fix It. Let’s Name It.

why you’re still stuck
You’ve been told that if you’re not booking, you need to post more, get on more platforms, lower your prices, or grow your following. So you’ve tried some version of all of it. And it hasn’t moved the needle, because none of those were the actual problem.
Couples haggling on price? That looks like a pricing problem. Usually it isn’t. Usually they never felt like you were the one, so the only thing left to evaluate was the number.
Couples loving your work and then disappearing? That looks like a them problem. Usually it’s something in your process that quietly let them slip.
Crickets? That looks like a marketing problem. Sometimes it is. Sometimes your marketing is fine and the couples who find you were just never given a reason to choose you over anyone else.
This is exactly why “my market can’t afford me” and “the industry’s just down” feel true but keep you stuck. They’re explanations you can’t do anything about. The real issue, the one actually costing you bookings, is something you can fix, once someone helps you see it.
That’s the entire job of these two days: find the thing you can’t see from the inside, and start fixing it.
sound familiar?
…that’s exactly who this is for.
what I’m actually looking for
After 250+ weddings and a lot of years looking at other photographers’ businesses, I stopped finding new problems. I kept finding the same three.
Booking a couple takes three things, all at once. I call it Booking Chemistry.
The right couples are actually finding you, in enough places, often enough to matter.
When they find you, something makes them feel like you’re the one. Not a good option. The one.
Saying yes to you is easy. Nothing in your process gives them a reason to stall, compare, or drift.
All three, and the reaction fires. Miss one, and it doesn’t. Not partly. It just doesn’t happen.
Here’s the part that keeps you stuck: a missing element almost never looks like itself. Missing Wanted shows up as a price objection. Missing Booked shows up as a ghost. Missing Seen shows up as a slow year you blame on the economy. So you go fix the symptom, and the symptom isn’t the thing.
I’m not going to look at your business and tell you what I’d do differently. I’m going to figure out which of the three you’re missing, because that’s the only question that matters, and it’s almost impossible to answer about yourself.
The right couples find you before they’ve already fallen for someone else. You stop being the photographer people discover after they’ve booked.
Couples arrive at your pricing already sold on you. The number becomes a formality instead of a negotiation, and you stop competing on being cheaper.
Excited couples stop evaporating. The gap between “we love your work” and a signed contract closes, and you stop refreshing your inbox wondering what happened.
Two days is enough to find out which one you’re missing. That’s the whole point of them.
introducing
Two focused days to stop being the maybe. We find which element you’re missing, name it out loud, and rework the one thing that’ll make the biggest difference, together, before the two days are over.

here’s how it works
You fill out a short intake and I go over your business ahead of time. Your site, your Instagram, your pricing, your inquiry process, and what you think is going wrong.
So you don’t spend day one answering questions I could’ve answered myself. I walk in already understanding your business, and you get both days of actual work.
We dig into what’s actually going on, and I tell you which of the three you’re missing and why.
So you stop guessing. By the end of day one you have a specific, named answer to “why aren’t they choosing me,” instead of a feeling you’ve been carrying around for two years.
I give you your three highest-impact next moves in order, and we start reworking the one asset that’ll change the most. Your inquiry response, your pricing guide, your brand messaging, or whatever we find matters most.
So you don’t leave with a to-do list you’ll feel bad about. You leave with the hardest part already started, and my eyes on it while you do it.
A recap doc: what we covered, what we uncovered, what we started, and your three moves. Plus a list of what to stop doing.
So the clarity doesn’t evaporate the second the two days end, and you get your time back from the things that were never going to work anyway.
You don’t leave with homework. You leave with a diagnosis, a plan, and a head start.

real results
Every photographer who’s done one of these leaves holding something concrete, not a pep talk.
Left with a full action plan to attract more inquiries and get visible to the right couples.
A revamped inquiry process, a new wedding inquiry form, a custom pricing guide, a styled shoot planned, and a website audit. She came in strong with clients and left knowing how to get in front of more of them.
Left knowing exactly how to stop being the last-minute fallback.
Her couples loved her, but the bookings were always last minute. Within days of our two days, she’d designed and scheduled a styled shoot with a vendor team she’d been intimidated by, and started building the relationships that get you booked a year out.
Left ready to book as a lead photographer instead of second-shooting.
“I’m seriously so grateful for your guidance. I now feel like I have the right tools and plans to guide me through the next season of business.”
Different photographers. Different missing elements. Same result: they stopped guessing and left with a plan built around their actual business.
what you leave with
The ground we walked through together.
The real thing that’s been costing you bookings, named clearly.
The asset we began reworking, so you can keep going.
Exactly what to do next, in order.
You don’t need more to do. You need someone you trust to look at your business and tell you the truth. “Stop messing with your pricing, that’s not the problem.” Or “your brand is strong, the issue is happening after they inquire.” That’s the clarity you’ve been trying to buy for years, in two days.

meet your guide
I’ve photographed 250+ weddings and built a seven-figure photography business on part-time hours, while homeschooling my kids on a hobby farm in Wisconsin.
I did it without becoming an influencer, without dancing on Instagram, and without a single viral moment. I refused to build a business around being a personality, and I booked dream clients anyway, because I figured out what actually makes couples choose you.
Here’s why I can do this in two days instead of two years: I didn’t figure it out alone. When I started shooting weddings in 2014, my kids were seven, five, two, and one, and I had no time to flail my way to an answer. So every time I could, I paid someone a few steps ahead to look at my business and tell me the truth. In 2016 that meant $2,500 and driving across the country for a weekend intensive with all four kids in tow, right after my husband John had quit his job. Money was tight. It was still the best money I ever spent, and I’m still building on what I learned that weekend.
That’s why I didn’t struggle for years. By year three, my calendar was booked. Thirty weddings.
You can’t see it from the inside. You’re too close to your own business. So when I look at yours, I’m not looking for what’s wrong with you. I’m looking for the one thing that’s actually holding you back, because I know it’s fixable. I’ve fixed it in my own business and in a lot of other photographers’ businesses too.

Colette worked with me inside The Booked FAST Blueprint. This is what she said about working together.
“I trust Emily with my life! For my business, my goals, my visions, she has been truly a huge support, resource, and valuable guide forward. I am so lucky to have her in my corner.”
let’s talk about it
Because a course hands you everything and leaves you to guess which part applies to you. That’s the exact problem you already have, just in a new format. This is the opposite: I look at your actual business, name the one thing that’s breaking, and we fix that one thing. You’re not going to be sitting alone at 10pm wondering if module four was the one you needed.
It can, because I’m not starting cold. Your intake gives me your site, your Instagram, your pricing, and your process before we begin, so day one goes straight to diagnosis instead of basic questions. And I’m not diagnosing from scratch every time. I’m checking three things. Two focused days on one real problem does more than months of guessing on your own.
You don’t need to be further along, more established, or better at the business side to do this. That belief is part of what’s keeping you stuck. Waiting until you’ve fixed things yourself is exactly the loop this breaks, because you can’t fix a problem you haven’t named yet. This is the part where someone finally looks at your business and tells you the truth.
got questions?
imagine if…
Instead of staring at your website wondering if you should change the fonts again. Instead of carrying around a vague sense that something’s off and no idea which thing it is.
You’re not bad at the business side. You’ve just never had anyone look at the whole thing and tell you where it’s breaking. That’s two days away.
