Simona & Jeremy | Backyard WI Wedding

This beautiful backyard Wisconsin wedding is filled with so many beautiful details, perfectly planned by the bride herself. Simona & Jeremy were married in Jeremy’s parents’ backyard as friends and family gathered for a gorgeous, yet relaxed wedding celebration. Although Simona & Jeremy went to the same school, they didn’t meet until years later during college days at UW-Madison One of the first stories Simona told me about themselves was the story of “The Studio guy.” In the La Crosse area, where they both grew up, there was a photography place called “The Studio.” Most people would go there to get their senior pictures taken. When it was Simona’s time for senior pictures, she (of course) went to The Studio. While there, she laid eyes on a photograph of a handsome young man holding a football. She jokingly declared that she would someday marry this “Studio Guy.” Fast forward years later to when Simona was dating Jeremy. She was visiting his parent’s house, and while walking the halls, looking at all of the family photos, she saw it! It was the exact same picture from The Studio. It was Studio Guy, and Studio Guy was… Jeremy!

During their vows, Simona retold this same story. She told of many other close encounters they had to meet each other, and how all of these things prove that they are destined for each other. Under confetti cannons, they sealed the ceremony with a kiss and became Mr & Mrs! The rest of the afternoon and evening was filled with casual fun, lots of laughter, some happy tears, quite the dance party, and an epic bonfire. Guests mingled all evening, playing yard games and watching the sky glow into a beautiful sunset. It was such a joy to capture these favorites from Simona & Jeremy’s backyard Wisconsin wedding!
