An Autumn Wedding at The Eloise in Mount Horeb, WI
A decade of love. That’s what Emily and Connor celebrated on their wedding day at The Eloise, a beautiful timeless and modern wedding venue near Madison, WI. Their October celebration was filled with joy, emotion, and elegant details… a perfect reflection of a couple who have grown together since high school. Every moment at The Eloise felt intentional- purposeful, from their first look and private vows to the party on the dance floor at the end of the evening.
How They Met
Emily and Connor’s story began back in high school Spanish class, thanks to a last-minute schedule change that landed Emily in Connor’s class. They had known of each other before, but this was the first time they really connected. What started as friendly conversation soon became something more. Their first date, a summer double date to Pewit’s Nest near Baraboo, set the tone for what would become a long and steady love. Nervous laughter, easy conversation, and a shared sense of adventure made it clear that these two just fit.
The Proposal
After nearly eight years together, Connor planned the perfect proposal with the help of Emily’s friends. What Emily thought was a casual venue visit turned into the biggest surprise of her life. When she arrived at Kohler-Andrae State Park in Sheboygan, Connor was waiting on the beach, ready to ask her to spend forever with him. With the waves behind them and a photographer capturing the moment, it was intimate, personal, and completely them.
Favorite Moments from Their Eloise Wedding
The Eloise in Mount Horeb, just outside Madison, WI, was the perfect setting for Emily and Connor’s modern and elegant wedding day. The venue’s clean white architecture and bright, open spaces paired beautifully with their timeless color palette and romantic fall details.
Their ceremony took place surrounded by family and friends and was officiated by Connor’s younger sister, which made it extra special. During the ceremony, the couple sealed handwritten letters in a wooden box to open on their fifth anniversary, a beautiful nod to their “decade of love” theme.
Every detail reflected who they are: signature cocktails, a charcuterie cart at cocktail hour, and even temporary tattoos! Emily wore a Paloma Blanca gown from White Dress Bridal Boutique, the same dress she said yes to when her late grandparents’ favorite song, Remember When by Alan Jackson, began to play in the boutique. That song returned for the anniversary dance at their reception, a sweet and emotional tribute to family and legacy.
