Michael was the same: calm and steady with a permanent smile on his face all day. They exchanged their gifts and waited to see each other in the aisle. Through the intense heat and inescapable sweat, they never faltered. Neither did their friends or family. It was undoubtedly the hottest day of the year, but never once did we see friends, family, wedding party, or bride & groom complain. Never once did the heat and humidity get in front of the joy and happiness. The entire day was a delightful celebration for Mike & Cassaundra.

Wow! Joy, excitement, and love you can tangibly feel are the emotions that accurately describe Mike & Cassaundra. Their wedding day was no different. While Cassaundra was getting ready, we were snapping photos and doing a little chatting in between when she said the most profound thing: “I just can’t wait to be married to my best friend.” Of course, she was excited to celebrate alongside family and friends, excited for the amazing details of their wedding day, excited to marry Michael; but she was MOST excited about what comes next – the journey through life alongside her best friend, Michael.

These two met through Michael’s cousin, Jackie, who happens to be Cassaundra’s best friend (and the Maid of Honor). After attending various family functions with Jackie, Cassaundra finally met Michael. The rest is history. Their Farm at Dover wedding ceremony was filled with so many lovely and personal moments. Their personalized vows made everyone cry, and the log-cutting ceremony (a German tradition in which the bride & groom must overcome their first obstacle together) made everyone laugh & cheer. We followed the ceremony with pictures around the gorgeous Farm at Dover grounds (it’s definitely one of our favorite venues!), and then continued the celebration with toasts, dinner, and pie! To end their perfect wedding day, Michael & Cassaundra danced the night away.

We are so excited for what lies ahead for Mike & Cassaundra. Their wedding day gifts perfectly represent their future together. The saw cufflinks from Cassaundra to Michael represent the first obstacle they overcame together, in expectation of the many more obstacles they will undoubtedly overcome hand-in-hand. The adventure book from Michael to Cassaundra is ready to be filled with their yet unwritten adventures: some happy, maybe some not so much, but always together… and always hand-in-hand. Michael & Cassaundra, words simply do not express the gratitude we have for being able to witness your love, capture these moments, and celebrate the two of you together!
