Brittany & Nick
Brittany & Nick’s Fete of Wales Spring Wedding
This flower-filled spring wedding at Fete of Wales was the definition of a perfect spring wedding day. Brittany and Nick planned a beautiful celebration, and we were honored to be part of the celebration.
Throughout the day, their family and friends mentioned several times how kind Brittany and Nick are. They aren’t kidding. These two are just such a perfect match – both so sweet, thoughtful, and truly kind down to the soul. It was so fun to watch them throughout the day, filled with overflowing joy!
They met on a dating app and chatted a bit through text before deciding it was time to meet in person. They chose a meeting place, and Brittany, out with her girlfriends before the date, almost decided not to go. There had been a few odd dates before that, and she just didn’t want another one. Obviously, she went, and obviously, it went well. In fact, they planned another date soon after, and as they say – the rest is history!
The Proposal
From Brittany: We were getting ready to leave for Arizona! We were going to visit Nick’s brother (Jake) who lives down there and we were all going to the Packer game!! We were all packed and Nick was finishing meetings up with work from home. We went to go load up the car with our luggage and Nick asked me to pop the trunk. As I opened the trunk I noticed Nick going down to one knee and the ring in the trunk. I was in total shock and he totally surprised me! I don’t think I said “yes” right away but kept saying “What is happening, what are you doing?!” I do remember Nick asking “Will you marry me?” and telling me I had to answer the question!
From Nick: I ran through some different options of how to do the proposal and finally landed on putting the ring in the trunk and waiting for Brittany to open it while I waited on one knee. I remember her saying “Is this real?!” and not initially answering the question, but of course saying, “YES!”
Spring Wedding Day
Their wedding day took place at Fete of Wales with a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Although the weather threatened rain all morning, the clouds broke right before the ceremony to provide the most beautiful backdrop for their vows.
Brittany and Nick wanted to be sure to stop by LeDuc’s ice cream shop just down the road. It was a place that Brittany’s Nana used to take her when she was young. It was a lovely way of having Nana with her on her wedding day. (And, ice cream – YUM!)
