Heidi & John
Holiday Inn Pewaukee Wedding
The first time we met Heidi & John, we loved them. If you know them, you already know that it’s not difficult to feel immediately connected to the two of them (both individually and together). They are two people who love each other deeply and have already proven that love time and time again through the various trials life has presented to them. We were excited and honored to get to stand behind them on their wedding day, cameras in hand, and tell their story through these images.
Their Holiday Inn Pewaukee wedding began with the simple (yet profound) moments getting ready. In all honesty, these are always some of my favorite moments of every single wedding day. Emotions are high, whether those emotions manifest themselves through silence, excitement, anxiety, or pure joy. For Heidi & John, it was still silence and pure joy. John got ready at his parents’ house, only a few minutes from the church he grew up in (and where he would soon get to marry the woman of his dreams).
Heidi & her girls did hair and makeup off site and arrived at the church, dresses in tow. Heidi was breathtaking. (I could repeat that statement 100x, and it would be just as true every time I said it.) She was perfection, adorned with the most beautiful smile and joyful heart. She was ready to marry John. They saw each other first at the aisle. I love looking through images after the day is done and being able to see the anticipation, followed by The Moment when they first see each other. It is priceless. It’s such a perfect moment every time.
Their wedding ceremony was beautiful. We followed with some family formals, and then the brave wedding party, bride, and groom headed off to Fox Brook Park for some chilly (really cold!) pictures. I can’t thank our wedding party enough for their love for Heidi & John. They honestly endured some unbearable temperatures in thin tuxedos and dresses. Knowing it was for their bride & groom, however, they were happy to make the sacrifice. We’re so thankful they did (because look at those sunset skies)! There is something so special about a winter sunset with the extra golden, golden light. (LOVE it!)
Heidi & John celebrated the rest of their day alongside their family & friends at the Holiday Inn Pewaukee. Their reception was personal and cozy. The food, cake, drinks, toasts, and dances were true celebrations of Heidi & John’s love. It was an honor to capture these favorites from their Holiday Inn Pewaukee wedding. Enjoy!
