A few months ago, John and I shared about the difficult decision we made to sell our first home. When we wrote that post, we weren’t really sure what the future held for us. Our dreams of living in the country with room to roam and animals to care for were put on hold. As we wrote in that post,
“We’re trading in a dream and putting a seed to rest. Maybe it’s a seed that in the stillness of the earth will root, grow, and blossom. Or maybe putting that seed to rest will give birth to other dreams that never would’ve had the room to grow otherwise.”
We’re so happy to give an update on where we are in our lives, and we’re even more thankful for how this “seed” was allowed to root, grow, and blossom. We have officially moved north of Madison to a beautiful hobby farm with 20 acres!
How will this affect our business? It will allow us to be so accessible to our clients! We’ll be able to service most of the state without any travel fees to our wedding clients, and we’ll be working on increasing our newborn and family photography services as well. We will be in the Madison and Milwaukee areas weekly for meetings with our wedding clients, engagement sessions, and weddings!
We have big dreams for this property as well! (After all, we are BIG dreamers!) Some of those dreams include starting some styled mini sessions for families this spring, summer, and fall (hint: baby chicks will be involved in the spring… more info to come!), and of course adding lots of animal life to this property. We have a deep passion for living within the rhythms of the earth, and when we care for animals, it grounds us, makes us thankful human beings, and brings lots of joy to our lives.
We’re overjoyed at the new season we are in! Here are a few pictures of our new property.
Love you both , your spirits and faith are infectious to all of us. As well, your four amazing children shadow your love, kindness and passions for life. God Bless your adventure s together in your new local!
Praise for you and your amazing work!
