One of the many reasons we love being Milwaukee engagement photographers (and Milwaukee WEDDING photographers, of course) *wink* is that we get to see all the unique beauty that can be found in various parts of the city of Milwaukee. Simona and Jeremy live in the Fifth Ward, and so they knew some secretly amazing spots to take photographs. I immediately fell in love with their ideas and locations, and *voila* we have these favorites below!!

During our time together, Simona told me a story about how she actually knew she was going to marry Jeremy before she even met him! They both grew up in the La Crosse area, and there was a photography studio that took many of the senior pictures for local high schoolers. So one day, Simona went into the photography studio, saw the picture of this *gorgeous* guy, and immediately declared that some day, she would marry him. Fast forward several years when Simona was meeting Jeremy’s parents for the first time. She was looking at all the pictures of him on the wall when she suddenly recognized ONE special picture. Yes! It was Jeremy’s picture she had seen all those years before, and it is this man that she really is going to marry!

These two love to dance, so we had to get a little slow dance session in. 🙂

The second half of our engagement session was a styled picnic in the Fifth Ward, where they live. We got to incorporate some really adorable props… and an even more adorable dog, Junior! If there’s something I can’t get enough of, it’s moody skies like the ones we had during our engagement session. I love the color and depth the skies give these images!

I love that Simona & Jeremy brought their dog, Junior, to part of their engagement session. He really does ride around in the basket of her bike, which I LOVE so much!! Isn’t he adorable?! And the best part is that he gets jealous when they kiss. I love how these pictures capture his personality!
