Alyce & Dan

Alyce and Dan are two people who are vibrant, full of life, and so in love. Their Park Hotel wedding was a stunning day, from beginning to end, filled with so many meaningful treasures and moments. We began the wedding day at Alyce’s parents’ house, where she and her bridesmaids were preparing for the day. There was so much thought put into each and every detail of their day, as you can see in the photos below. Our favorite getting-ready moments included Alyce’s grandma and how much she cherished each moment as she watched Alyce get ready for her wedding. These moments of generational love and admiration are absolutely timeless, and they move our hearts.

Alyce and Dan are high school sweethearts, so they’ve traveled many of life’s paths together. This day was a huge celebration of every path they’ve traveled together. The day was even complete with a cardboard cutout of these two at their freshman year’s homecoming in 2009! It was so sweet to witness their journey thus far. After they made it all official at their home church, we headed to Olin Park in Madison to grab some fun photos of these two and their wedding party. The wind was blowing, and the bugs were biting, but it didn’t stop this group from having a good time. 🙂

The rest of the day’s festivities happened at the Park Hotel on the square. Guests enjoyed the cocktail hour with a view, and then enjoyed a meal celebrating Alyce & Dan. The table decor and name cards were lovingly created by Alyce’s grandmother. She pressed created each and every name card and table number with flower petals that she personally pressed. They were absolutely stunning.

In between the festivities, we took Alyce and Dan to the Capitol for some sunset pictures and thoroughly enjoyed our alone time with these two. Then it was back to the celebration for dancing and merriment! As we prepared to leave, we went outside to grab a quick night shot. We were a little bit bummed that the Capitol lights weren’t yet on, so we took a few photos in front of the Park Hotel. Then, just as we were about to say our goodbyes, the Capitol lights went on! (Hurrah!) It was the perfect end to their lovely day.

We loved the joy, the tangible love, and the overall brightness that emanated over their entire wedding day. Congratulations to Alyce and Dan as they start down the next path in their journey together: marriage! Enjoy these favorites from their Park Hotel wedding day.
