Ashlyn & Jacob
The Atrium Milwaukee Wedding
From the first time we chatted with Ashlyn and Jacob, we couldn’t wait for their wedding day to arrive. There is something incredibly special about these two people, and we are so excited to share their wedding day with you! If there is one word to describe Ashlyn & Jacob, I would be grateful. We were blown away by their genuine gratitude for each and every person they invited to their wedding day. They have the most beautiful overflow of love and joy – both for each other and also for their family and friends.
They met on Match.com, and Ashlyn’s mom specifically picked Jacob out of the list. After their first date at Camp Bar, where they talked for hours and hours without even realizing it, they could tell this was potentially something special. With their genuine love for others and mutual affection for family and friends, they had a lot in common immediately. As their relationship progressed, they moved into a condo together and then eventually decided to buy a house. That’s when Jacob decided this was it! He was going to propose. So, on closing day as they navigated their final walkthrough of the house, he anxiously walked through the house pretending to listen to everything that was happening around him. He remembers that it was a bit of a blur. Ashlyn’s mom was there (and in on the plan), so as they took their picture in front of the house with the “SOLD” sign, Jacob got down on one knee and asked Ashlyn to start the adventure of a lifetime! Ashlyn said it was sort of an out of body experience, but she was flooded with overwhelming happiness (and of course said yes)!
The Atrium Milwaukee wedding these two planned had so many beautiful moments woven throughout the day. The little details they included were perfect. Jacob had his grandfather’s air force wings, heirloom cufflinks, and a memorial pin made by Ashlyn. Ashlyn had a special “Titanic” inspired necklace from her grandparents, and they both had the most beautiful love letters written for each other to begin the day. We began our coverage at Ashlyn & Jacob’s home, where the men were finishing up with ties and suits. They made us laugh immediately with their relaxed humor and ability to enjoy every moment. After that, we headed over to Ashyln’s parents’ condo, where the ladies were getting into dresses and preparing for the ceremony. With a very special and very emotional video call to Ashlyn’s grandmother (who couldn’t be there in person), we were all in tears as we headed out to the ceremony at The Atrium!
Their ceremony was lovely, officiated by Jacob’s uncle. The rain drummed on the ceiling at just the right time, letting up by the time the ceremony ended and the two were pronounced husband and wife! The lovely rooftop garden was the backdrop for family photos and cocktail hour. And we finished up our photo list and headed out with the bridal party! With stops at Atwater and Zielber Parks, and lots of fun along the way, we circled back to the The Atrium for the rest of the evening’s celebrations. We walked in to the most beautiful ambient light and listened as parents and friends gave lovely tributes to Ashlyn and Jacob as individuals and as a couple. We echo those tributes as well because we can’t say enough about these two – their joy, their love, and their gratitude. It was our greatest privilege to witness this day and retell the story through these pictures. So, without further ado, we present to you Mr. & Mrs. Haury and The Atrium Milwaukee wedding that was the perfect representation of their love.
