Kelsey & Jason’s The Box MKE wedding kicked off our busy season this summer! Their day was absolutely beautiful, from the weather to the endless details that Kelsey put into place. We began the day at a GORGEOUS condo overlooking the Third Ward. Kelsey’s friend offered her space for the ladies to get ready in, and it was a stunning space! The big, beautiful windows provided endless light and beautiful views. Kelsey hand made the fabric floral bouquets (and did an AMAZING job customizing them for each of her girls). She truly didn’t skimp on any detail of her wedding day, and yet she remained so joyous and excited all day long. I absolutely loved that Kelsey included a picture of her mother on her wedding day. I can imagine generations to come continuing that tradition (and WOW, those would be some amazing pictures)! 🙂

The men met us at the condo, where Kelsey & Jason exchanged their first look on a terrace overlooking the city. They were both so happy and so excited to make the most of their wedding day. There may have been a few happy tears, but there were mostly just huge, genuine smiles! After we walked around the Third Ward for a bit, we headed over to the lake shore for more pictures; and then we headed to their venue, The Box MKE, where we celebrated the rest of the day and night.

Kelsey & Jason’s ceremony was very personal and heartfelt; and it was Kelsey’s college friend who officiated. She did an amazing job with the ceremony. Kelsey & Jason exchanged their personalized vows with many beautiful, poignant moments of love and devotion mixed with a good amount of humor and laughter as well. The kiss sealed the deal, and we spent the remainder of the evening in celebration. Of course there was one wedding going on the same day as Kelsey & Jason’s (the Royal Wedding), so we had quite a few onlookers joke with them about how quickly they came over the ocean! Kelsey & Jason fully planned on enjoying being married the same day as the Royal Wedding, and they made their grand entrance in royal fashion!

All of the speeches & toasts were beautiful, funny, and full of love for Kelsey & Jason. Kelsey’s mom wrote a poem, Kelsey’s dad pulled out some of his favorite old notes from Kelsey when she was a girl, and Jason’s dad gave a toast to the beautiful couple. We spent a few extra moments at sunset capturing Kelsey & Jason in the city. I love the city vibe these pictures portray; there’s something so classy and beautiful about candid photos in the middle of historic buildings. When we returned back to The Box MKE, there was lots and lots of dancing to follow. Kelsey LOVES dancing and is amazing at ballroom dance. Don’t worry, Jason, we loved your dance moves too! 😉

From start to finish, Kelsey & Jason had huge, bright, beautiful smiles on their faces all day long. We were overjoyed to be a part of capturing the essence of their day; enjoy these favorites!
