Heather & Dave’s Bowery Barn wedding was a perfectly relaxed celebration of their love for each other. Despite the threat of rain, both Heather and Dave were completely calm and went with the flow of the day with such ease and joy. They planned almost all of their wedding from out of state, having moved to New Jersey not long after starting their wedding planning. (And then they moved to Florida within the last year as well!) With so much planning happening from out of state, you might expect these two to be stressed on their wedding day. But they were not. In contrast, they were both full of smiles, regardless of what the weather chose to do.

Heather and Dave have such a unique story. They met on a New Year’s Eve cruise! Dave saw Heather a few times, and Heather noticed him a few times, until Dave asked to buy her a drink one night. It would’ve been simple and understandable if their story ended there – a nice cruise date, a fun night out… but it did not. They kept in contact after the cruise, and things became so serious that they would both fly across the country to see each other. Dave was living in New Jersey, and Heather was living in Milwaukee. It was while they were making a long-distance relationship work that they both realized that this relationship was something incredibly special. When Dave decided to propose, he made a surprise trip out to Milwaukee without Heather knowing. Her family was in on it, though! With their help, Heather was sent on a little scavenger hunt. It led her to find DAVE hiding upstairs, and he asked her to marry him! 🙂

Fast forward to their wedding day, and while the weather was perhaps a bit overcast and drizzly, their joy created all the atmosphere needed for the celebration. Smiles and laughter abounded from both Heather and Dave as well as from their friends and family. Even Murphy, their fur baby, was full of abundant joy! 🙂 After their indoor ceremony, the rain stopped long enough for us to grab some photos outside, which we were so thankful for! Guests enjoyed the lovely Bowery Barn during cocktail hour and dinner. And when the dancing began the beautiful whitewashed barn was transformed into the perfect party space.

There were many beautiful moments to note during Heather & Dave’s Bowery Barn wedding day. A few of those include Murphy, Heather and Dave’s dog, who was the ring bearer. Also included was the lovely music performed by Dave and his friends. Dave is part of a barbershop quartet, and including this love of music was very important to them both. And finally, we just enjoyed watching their family and friends come beside them on this important day and support them wholeheartedly. It was a beautiful day, and we loved being able to capture these few favorites – enjoy!
