HEY, IT'S EMILY

Cynthia and Tom’s Plant No. 4 Milwaukee Wedding

If I had to sum up Cynthia + Tom’s wedding day in a single word, it would be a word like fun, merriment, joy, laughter, JOLLIFICATION! This day was packed to the brim with all of those feelings because Cynthia and Tom genuinely enjoy spending time with each other. So, naturally, their wedding day one big giant party celebrating their love with their favorite people. (Oh, and literally surrounded by friends and family on their packed dance floor)!

How They Met

It was game 6. Bucks vs. Celtics, and Cynthia + Tom’s first date. In the midst of basketball heartbreak, two hearts connected. Because, although the Bucks lost, Cynthia + Tom won bigtime.

When I asked them how they knew their relationship was special (and potentially “IT!”), they both had this to say:

“It was the very first night we met- I kind of just threw Tom into meeting most of my friends at a bar when he could’ve easily just said no after the Bucks game. He was so open about it. And the way he wanted to get to know my friends who were total strangers to him made me feel at ease. Also not to mention, he made me laugh all night on our first date (the date was like 8 hours long…) it just felt so natural.” – Cynthia

“From when we first started dating everything has always been so easy with Cynthia, nothing has ever felt forced. We can be doing nothing and it’s always great spending time with her. I knew she was the one because no matter what happens during any day, the thought of coming home to Cynthia at the end of it always makes me smile.” – Tom

The Proposal

“We went on a hiking trip to Banff, Canada. I planned a sunrise hike on Friday morning 7/21. We had to leave around 3:45AM to get to the bus for the hike. Cynthia was not thrilled to be getting up so early, but I hoped what was in store would change her mind later that morning. When we were at Moraine Lake I had her follow me down a more private path and asked her to marry me there. We then had our guide take pictures for us in front of Lake Louise. Very scenic morning with a great ending!” – Tom
