HEY, IT'S EMILY

This Lake Park engagement session with Shannon and Kurt was filled with the areas around Milwaukee that they love to work and play. We started out at Lake Park, which was symbolic of Shannon and Kurt’s great love for adventure and the outdoors. I have to say, they certainly look at home and at rest in the great outdoors. After that, we headed over to Stone Creek Coffee near the Milwaukee Intermodal Station, where Shannon would come in from Chicago to visit Kurt. She would hang out at the coffee shop until he picked her up, so their relationship holds many moments in that coffee shop. (Can I just take a moment to say how much I love the rooster in that coffee shop?! I mean, really… Love it!) Then we finished the evening and the last rays of sunlight at the Milwaukee Public Market and that amazing Red Lighthouse near the Summerfest grounds. (And I love that lighthouse too – but who doesn’t LOVE lighthouses?!) It was an absolutely fabulous evening learning more about Shannon and Kurt, their love for each other, and the places around Milwaukee that they’ve come to call home. Enjoy these favorites from their Lake Park engagement~

Although rain isn’t ever on the top of anyone’s wedding day list, these two not only met the challenge of rain on their wedding day but fully embraced it. For two adventurous souls who love the outdoors, camping, and hiking, their rainy Milwaukee wedding day was just one more adventure. A week or so before the wedding, after we had finalized most of our timeline details, Shannon sent the best email a photographer could ask for. She let us know that she was going to embrace the weather with matching umbrellas for her bridal party and bright red rain boots! […]
