Myrra and Aaron initially met at work. They would see each other passing through the halls and often converse about common workplace subjects. It wasn’t until Myrra asked him to join her for a group outing to a trivia night that things started moving in a different direction. Because Aaron couldn’t join for that specific outing, he made a point to find another date that would work. They laugh about it now, but Aaron thought Myrra was asking him out on a date; and she thought she was just asking him to join a group outing. But Myrra admits that she took longer than normal to decide what to wear, and they now agree that this qualified as their “first date,” 🙂 The night was filled with laughter and conversation, and signs of great things to come.
Fast forward a few years and lots of adventures later, and Aaron and Myrra found themselves in New York City to visit family. While wandering through Central Park and past a man playing an accordion, Aaron waited for a quiet place and the right moment. The sun peeked through the clouds, making this seem like the warmest spot in the city; and there Aaron asked Myrra to marry him. She, of course, said yes! 🙂
I love asking our couples how they knew that their soon-to-be-spouse was “the one,” and I love that every answer is different because everyone experiences love in different ways. For Myrra, she had sweet moments where she would almost literally feel herself falling – falling more and more in love with the man who knew just what to say or do to make her feel loved, admired, and cared for. Aaron was taken by Myrra’s spontaneity and adventurous spirit from the beginning, and as they continued their journey together, things just became more and more clear that she was the one for him. One of my favorite parts of Aaron’s answer is this: “We have worked hard to allow each other to be ourselves while also enjoying the WE of our relationship.” I love that statement so much; and you can completely see this when you see these two together.
I can’t even begin to describe what a joy they are. They are full of laughter, joy, adventure, and love. We had a grand time romping around Milwaukee’s Third Ward and Lakeshore State Park capturing these few favorites (okay, there are a lot because I really couldn’t narrow them down). John and I can’t wait to celebrate Myrra & Aaron’s wedding day this August! 🙂
I love one one with the sun set shining between them.
Beautiful, happy couple. Great celebration photos
