Kayla & Evan’s Port Washington wedding day started off chilly. With clouds. And a threat of rain. If you look at the pictures of Kayla & Evan together, though, you can’t tell. Not even a bit. It was all warmth & sunshine between these two on their Port Washington wedding day. They planned a day that was unique to them, and every choice they made was well thought out. Instead of opting for the traditional tuxes for the guys, they chose something a little more casual and true to their personalities. As we chatted during their timeline meeting, we laughed about how much harder it is to plan a wedding if you’re thinking outside the box. I’d say it turned out perfectly!

Kayla & Evan met in college through some mutual friends. Their wedding day was filled with stories of the love and admiration they have for each other. Evan’s cousin was the officiant for their wedding, and he did an excellent job incorporating stories of their love into the ceremony. Since Kayla & Evan saw each other before their ceremony, they were able to go right into their cocktail hour and celebrate with the friends and family who came to cheer them on in their marriage. The rest of the night was filled with some pretty wonderful toasts. Kayla’s Maid of Honor gifted her a special message from her favorite guitarist, and Evan’s Best Man instigated an epic Kool-Aid drinking contest. (Be sure to check out those photos below!)
