Trisha & Chris’ Rustic Wisconsin Wedding

We loved everything about Trisha & Chris’ rustic Wisconsin wedding. If you don’t know these two, you’ll find out very quickly that they are avid hunters. They have built a friendship and love over their common joy of hunting. Trisha & Chris are kind-hearted people. They have taken their love for hunting and become very involved in creating opportunities for disabled children to hunt and experience their passion. That speaks volumes about their character and love for others.

We met Trisha & Chris at a wedding we photographed a couple years ago. They were capturing video for the wedding and were great people to spend the day with. Since Trisha does photography herself, we kept in contact through the years. It was a joy for us to watch their relationship continue to blossom, so when Trisha contacted us to photograph their wedding, we were beyond excited to be able to share their special day with them! We knew their wedding day would be reflective of their love and passion for hunting and each other; and we weren’t disappointed.

Trisha designed and made all of her rustic wedding decor, from the boutonnieres to the bouquets, to the rustic decor adorning the reception hall. Everything had a personal touch. They made the park come alive with beauty and love, transforming a park building into what felt like a romantic hunting lodge. The day was spent mingling with friends and family, eating tasty food, making s’mores by the bonfire, and dancing the night away. John and I were so happy to capture all the special moments of Trisha & Chris’ rustic Wisconsin wedding.

We started the day at the salon where Trisha works. We LOVED the quaint small town beauty of Mayville!Trisha and Chris had these matching antler necklaces for their wedding day. We loved their rustic details.When Trisha finished getting ready, she read her letter from Chris (with her bridesmaids watching intently). Chris had put together a beautiful video for her celebrating their relationship from start to finish.We drove to this beautiful private property where we were able to take some breathtaking photos by the pond. Trisha & Chris’ wedding party was fantastic to work with, and we loved how these turned out.It was Trisha’s idea to get into a row boat in her wedding dress! I’m so glad she did; we LOVE these pictures (as you can see since we put so many in the blog post)! 😉
