Spring Delafield Hotel Wedding

The day before Meagan & Ryan’s spring Delafield Hotel wedding was sunny and 60’s. It was a temperature you would expect for a late April wedding. However, this is Wisconsin. Wisconsinites know that there is nearly no safe day all year long when it comes to weather. There is no weather guarantee, and Meagan & Ryan experienced this on their wedding day. Instead of sunny spring weather, they were given a snow storm (only in Wisconsin, folks)! Yet Meagan & Ryan were up for anything, and they fully embraced the crazy weather of their day. It’s a fun thing about their wedding that can be told for years – how they had a one-day snow storm just for their wedding day. We loved the ease and joy they showed all day long. Their wedding day was filled with a few happy tears, loads of laughter, and exuberant celebrations.

How they met:

Meagan and Ryan met in college. After nervously making introductions, Ryan managed to get Meagan’s number. Good news, right? Well his phone froze just as he was getting her number! It must’ve made an impression, though, because these two have been inseparable ever since. 🙂 After Ryan proposed at the American Club, he and Meagan started looking for the perfect venue. When they found the Delafield Hotel, the search was over. They fell in love with its modern aesthetic and unique charm. It was the perfect space for their wedding day, especially in view of the surprise snow storm they received!

The wedding day:

These two are such sweethearts. They also know how to have a great time. Ryan kept us laughing nearly all day. His sense of humor was warm and inviting. Meagan was an absolute dream, and her wedding day look was stunning. She soaked up all of the moments and laughed alongside Ryan as they celebrated their big day. With the Delafield Hotel as their backdrop, all of the getting ready moments were dreamy. We love that natural light! When everyone was ready for the day, Meagan and Ryan had their first look in the bell tower of the hotel. The timing was perfect, as the snow started falling just after their moment.

Following their first look, we took more pictures with bridal party photos around the Delafield Hotel. The snow flurries floated through the air, and we laughed our way through photos. Next it was time for everything to become official! Meagan and Ryan included an Up theme to their wedding, which we absolutely LOVED! (It’s one of the best movies ever, of course!) Those big beautiful balloons were a gorgeous accent to the ceremony space. Once everything was official, their guests enjoyed cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres. As they mingled, the snow truly started falling.

In conclusion, Meagan & Ryan’s spring Delafield Hotel wedding was a stunning day. It was filled with lots of laughter and tons of love. We loved how these two truly enjoyed every moment of their day.
