Laura & Robbie
The Rotunda Waukesha Wedding
Laura & Robbie’s wedding day at The Rotunda in Waukesha was a beautiful celebration. There were so many little things that made the entire day just incredibly special. Things like Laura’s biological sister being present and a huge part of Laura’s celebrations, and things like Robbie’s girls being junior bridesmaids and celebrating their Dad and Laura’s marriage together. All of the family and friends who gathered were so full of energy and emotion as they watched Laura & Robbie officially become Mr. & Mrs. Beirle!
Laura & Robbie met on a random evening when Laura & her best friend visited a bowling alley for drinks and karaoke! It just so happened that Robbie was bartending that night, and he and Laura met for the first time. What started as a friendship became more, and then more. Robbie and Laura would spend hours upon hours talking to each other and sharing music like they’d been forever friends. They had an instant connection, and their love blossomed from there. After being together for two years, they introduced Laura to Robbie’s girls. As Laura describes it, as if she wasn’t already head-over-heels in love with Robbie, watching him as a father only deepened that love for him and for the girls.
Robbie decided to propose to Laura at home one night. She was watching a favorite TV show, and Robbie sat down on the couch next to her. When he started telling her how much he loved her, she initially started “shh-ing” him, until she realized what was happening. Robbie got down on one knee, and Laura turned off the TV! 🙂 They spent the rest of the evening calling friends and family to tell them the exciting news! As anyone who knows these two can tell you, they’re absolutely delightful together! Their wedding day was no exception. Robbie was emotional, in all the most meaningful ways. He soaked up all of the moments, and it was obvious how much Laura means to him. He was the cause of many happy tears shed on their behalf. Laura was filled with laughter, abundant joy, and overflowing happy energy. Considering these things, it’s clear to see that Laura and Robbie compliment each other perfectly. They are a true partnership, committed to their journey forward as husband and wife and as a family.
The day began at The Clarke Hotel in Waukesha. We actually had never spent any extended time in this downtown Waukesha area, and it completely stole our hearts immediately with how quaint and lovely it was. From the Clarke Hotel, the wedding party and family members walked over to The Rotunda. We raced the incoming rain through all of our portraits, and it held out completely until the very last photograph was taken! Then everyone ran inside to stay dry and prepare for the ceremony.
Laura & Robbie’s friend, Adam, was the ceremony officiant. He did such a great job creating a ceremony that celebrated everything that Laura & Robbie are as a couple. Our favorite moment was right at the beginning of the ceremony when he celebrated Laura & Robbie’s selfie-taking skills by asking everyone to take out their phones and take a selfie! It was so adorable, and I’m sure there will be lots of fun photos for these two from that moment! The rest of their ceremony was heartfelt and beautiful. Laura made a note in her timeline questionnaire that “everyone will be sobbing like babies in love!” And there isn’t a more accurate description of it all that that one! <3
From the ceremony, the guests went right into cocktail hour (after a quick photo outside, for which the rain stopped in perfect time)! And from there, dinner was served! After dinner, Laura had part of her hair taken down (lovely!), and we headed outside for a few extra portraits with just the two of them. Oh, my! Their love for each other is just so much fun to watch. We LOVE how much they truly enjoy each other. Laughter was abundant during our sunset session! We headed back for the rest of the party, and let me just tell you – that dance floor was hopping! These families know how to light up a dance floor!
So, from the bustle of getting ready to the pounding of feet on the dance floor, Laura & Robbie’s wedding day was a perfect celebration. It was a celebration of who they are together, and it was a celebration of all that they will accomplish as they journey forward as the new Mr. & Mrs. Beirle! Congrats again to these two lovely humans. We thoroughly enjoyed documenting your moments. Enjoy these favorites!
