π€ They enjoyed a sunny entrance to their cocktail hour via a classic wooden boat.
π€ They were gifted the most gorgeous cotton candy sky after the rain let up for the evening.
π€ And you better blieve that they had SO much fun on the dance floor.

About the Lovebirds
Emily and DJ met through some mutual friends, and the connection was instant. They went on their official first date the next day, and they’ve only been growing closer together since.
Although they live and work in the Chicagoland area, Green Lake is incredibly special to them both, being home to some of their fondest memories together. So when they dove into wedding planning and started looking at venues, something just wasn’t clicking. Once they threw around the idea of Green Lake (and The Heidel House), it was pretty much just like their love – an instant connection.
These two are just a joy to be around. They bring excitement and energy wherever they go. Of course, their wedding day was no exception. While many couples could have (and likely would have) had more anxiety and frustration about the weather, Emily and DJ took it all in stride, choosing to soak up the moments rather than worry about things outside their control.
This speaks volumes to their character and love for each other (as well as their love and enjoyment of their family and friends). Emily and DJ were determined to have the best. day. ever, regardless of the weather. So while the weather showed many moods (rainy, muggy, sunny, downpour, cotton-candy skies), Emily and DJ had just *one* mood – pure joy.
