Hayley and Jacob’s Milwaukee wedding at The Pfister Hotel
Hayley & Jake planned the most beautiful Milwaukee wedding day at The Pfister Hotel. No detail went undone. Every aspect of the day was planned perfectly and beautifully, adding to the overall joyful vibe of the day.
How They Met
“I was 12 years old driving up to the family cottage in Powers Lake Wisconsin with my parents and friend. As we pulled up to the house I saw three people playing roller hockey in the street. As soon as we got all of our belongings inside the house, I immediately went outside to introduce myself to them. Within an hour we were laying in a field holding hands with each other.” ~Hayley
And that’s how the summer went for them. With family cabins just two doors down, their summer was filled with middle school love and adventures on and around the lake.
The Proposal
“I knew it would happen at the lake, but it was labor day weekend and summer was almost over so I completely convinced myself that it would happen next year.
We went down to the lake to cover the boat like we always do. But instead of going on the boat pier we went on the swimming pier.
I walked past Jake, turned around and he was down on one knee. I was absolutely shocked! and I said yes as fast as I could.” ~Hayley
“I had told my family that I was planning on doing it sometime that weekend but not exactly when. Then as we had finished getting ready to go out to dinner I asked her to walk down by the lake with me, as we got close to the dock I must have been a little shifty because she said something about thinking I was faking a proposal (as I had a few times before).
Then we walked onto the dock where we’ve done a handful of slow dances on at night in the past, and I pulled out the ring.
I think it’s unclear to the world what I said, as Hayley couldn’t stop repeating “stop!” while I was telling her why I was proposing to her. But I asked the question on one knee and put the ring on her.” ~Jake

Hayley surprised Jake with MINI GOLF! It was one of the coolest things we’ve seen in a wedding thus far!
